Mentoring in Schools Project-North Central Local Learning & Employment Network (2019)

The North Central Local Learning and Employment Network (NCLLEN) engaged Local Logic Place to undertake a review of its member schools to better understand how it could support the school-based mentoring programs that were in place.

Schools who were actively running mentoring programs and schools who were interested in starting up a program were invited to share their thoughts about successes, challenges, gaps and ideas for the future.

Seven schools were engaged in the consultation process:

  • Wycheproof P-12 College
  • Wedderburn College
  • Donald High School
  • Pyramid Hill College
  • East Loddon P-12 College
  • Birchip P-12 School
  • St. Arnaud Secondary College

In addition, a small number of mentors were invited to share their views on what was working well, what wasn’t and what could be strengthened from their point of view. Local Logic Place also developed essential resources/tools and benchmarking evidence to support best practice mentoring programs in schools.
