Sunraysia Community Health Services, COPD/CVD Gaps and Needs Analysis (2018)

This research aimed to provide a needs assessment and gap analysis of the Mildura catchment’s primary health care sector to deliver evidence based clinical care in the management of and rehabilitation from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and cardiovascular disease.

The research objectives were to provide:

1. A clear and detailed profile of the current local confirmed COPD/CVD diagnosis client base;
2. An understanding of the current provision of cardio-pulmonary rehabilitation services across the Mildura catchment;
3. An understanding of the knowledge strengths and deficits of local healthcare providers in the management of and rehabilitation from COPD/CVD; and
4. A concise picture of consumer experiences, preferences and expectations regarding both current and future cardio-pulmonary rehabilitation services.
